I was wondering how much soil i should buy if i'm growing 1 maybe 2 plants in a little apartment grow?

So I'm gonna start growing for the first time soon, my one question what kind should I grow if its my first time? I've been looking at a few, lowryder, white widow, and northern lights especially this one...

I'm starting to look into just growing one plant in my apartment for personal use. I've looked around for a place that tells you how to do just one plant but I can't seem to find one. If somebody could point me in the right direction or give me some tips that would be awesome.
