I know that hps and/or warm white fluorescents are great for the flowering stage, but what about cool whites for the plants entire life? Will this fuck up the plant or screw with the buds? Any input is much appreciated.

So I read that you're not supposed to clone once the plant has begun flowering. However, you don't want to clone males, yet you cannot tell a plant's sex until it flowers. So my question is this: How do I know which plants to clone and do you need to shock the plant out of flowering or something?

I recently bought a lamp that takes 3 bulbs, but the manual says to only use 60-watt bulbs. I bought 3 CFL's for the lamp that are 100w. Is this safe to do or am I playing with fire, literally?

Is hanging one CFL above a plant enough to give it sufficient light? The reason I ask is because most purchasable fixtures only have one bulb socket.

Whats a good way to make a grow box for plants to veg in? Should I buy wook and just make a box and then rest a fluorescent tube on the top of it? What are some of your ideas?bongsmilie

So i just transplanted a 3-week-old plant from a dixie cup into a large pot. Problem is, when I removed it from the dixie cup, some of its roots (about 2 or 3 4'' long ones) ripped and the soil fell away from the root ball. Did I kill my plant? It is still standing upright in the flower pot but...

Is it true that a transplant basically sets your plant back an entire week? Like, I heard that if you transplant into a larger pot, it takes the plant a good week to readjust and recover from being transplanted. Is this true? Or is transplanting perfectly ok on the plant as long as you're gentle?

Does anyone know if lining the walls of your grow space with an emergency blanket (the reflective kind) is a good source of reflection so more light gets to the plants?

Is it any good? It seems like a fluffy soil with alot of room for breathing as it apparently feeds the plant for up to 3 weeks. Is it a good choice or will this brand be harmful to my plants?
