I bought the photobio par meter for $150 and have no regrets, it was much needed for me to switch to LEDs.

    Plants want low PPFD??

Last grow I catered to one plant that received ~950ppfd throughout flower and was happy and healthy. I also had 3 c99’s I grew along side that received around 750 ppfd and they had quite a bit of light burn. I use a photobio par meter and for me is a must when it comes to LEDs. I tried a lux...

    Plants want low PPFD??

Good feedback. The light saturation point is different for each plant in each grow. Re. the photobio - that sensor cannot read above 660nm. If you're using a light with far red, you'll want to add in a percentage to account for that. I've attached an Apogee study that touches on that. Re...

Another handy item to have is a dedicated par meter. It's good to know how much light you are giving your plants. Some people claim using their cellphone with the Photone app is accurate, but I never found that to be the case on mine. So I bought this...

    LED light to canopy distance

I broke down and bought the photobio par meter, it completely changed the game for me. I've only tried a handful of autos but IME they don't seem to like much light or food.

I'd like to hear some of the #s you get with that light and your new Par meter-I've been planning on getting the same 1 for the past year or so but something else always comes up before I can pull the trigger.

Best bang for your buck 600w+ led bar light?

Congrats on the new toys, I buy myself some Christmas presents every year. ;-) Grabbed a PAX2 on cyber Monday. Can I ask what lux meter and conversion you were using? I'm interested it getting a par meter, but the truth is I need skills more than a meter.

It works good. I got the pulse pro. Which measure too. Both are basically same values angle you hold either meter at makes a difference so holding flat is important. I am gonna get a selfie stick for the sensor though so I can feel cooler while using lol.

Best bang for your buck 600w+ led bar light?

I appreciate the input and definitely will hit you up with any questions. Don't think the driver will be an issue for me. I'm in a semi-cool basement, so I can use the extra heat. Although they might not be the 301b diodes, I'm 100% sure it's going to wipe the floor compared to what I'm...

@pop22 How's that photobio par meter working? Do you have anything/experience to compare it to something else (another par meter, or a lux meter you used with a conversion factor)?
