People are hesitant to use something as simple as Clorox bleach. But if used properly it's perfectly fine to use. I used it for years and never had an issue with root rot. Well I did one time but then I started adding bleach and never had an incident again.

I added 1g 70% poolshock into 1gallon RO water. Then used 3ml a gallon. Does that sound OK? I'd wait until you get them fully recovered. The roots defiantly look much better. Have a look at that feed chart, its a little small but if you Google you can find a bugger version. It's skunk labs...
