Hello, I'm a newbie to all of this, although having grown vegetables and alternate plants over the years. I've got 4 autoflowers under a DIY light (22 samsung q-series gen-2 strips) dimmed down to 60% and I'm having constant mag issues. I've been looking at the bottles for shogun coco a&b and...

what is wrong with theese plants in coco?

Great to hear brother. I'm probably needing to move toward RO myself. My current girl is super healthy, and yet I still get weird necrotic spots between the veins. The water is naturally 7.8 PH so even PHing the water won't stop the medium from slowly increasing in PH over time. We all have our...

...to manage ph. also 80 ppm sodium which is toxic. bounced back ph to 8.5 within hours. i did try once with 200L and it took 1dl of phospourus acid to bring ph to 5.8. thats a bit to much. with RO water and DIY calmag it was easy street to provide perfect water-nutrients buffé efery feeding :-)

Diy calcium magnesium suppliment - calmag

It is, because everybody already has pH down(phosphoric acid), pH up(potassium hydroxide) and a huge (I believe 25lb) bag of plaster of Paris costs $20, Epsom salts Cost $4 for a 5lb bag at CVS, where you'll almost never run out and it adds the -SO4 anion which promotes the production of...

for those of you who measure your runoff EC hydro coco

It sounds like you are sold on continuing the CalMag, sorry to hear that. You already soaked your coco in a massive amount of CalMag. The coco isn’t sucking tons of it out from your nutrient solution that you’d need to add CalMag, despite whatever that webpage says. Yeah I’d imagine that any...

    7 Days Since 12/12 Switch

Just Mars Hydro LEDs? I have been lead to believe that some LEDs can cause an increase in the need for Calcium. I have also been lead to believe that too much Phosphorus can lead to Calcium being locked out. I was using a PK48 booster with a feed that I know is Calcium rich. I am using some...

Second grow - same ILGM seeds, hopefully better results - all comments welcome

Today marks the first day of switching to 12/12 lights. I'm running them on from 6PM to 6AM which is just before the house heat kicks on in the morning. I was tempted to just try running during the day like before because I don't have to deal with any light changes, but I'm concerned that it...

    Need some help

I only use RO water and add maybe 1/4 as much calmag as what it says on the bottle but still use it. I also add some epsom here and there especially later in flower. The sulphur in it is the 'secret ingredient' in most bloom booster formulas. You can't get too much light from shop light and...

    The current opinion of silica

It's not a wise thing to talk about things you have no experience in hence lack understanding. Coir grown plants have the same nutrient requirements as any other hydro grown plant. I think you miss the fact that there's a difference between Calcium carbonate and Calcium sulfate dihydrate (gypsum)?
