I can only guess but i think the 46% number would come from: 0.022/0.015=1.46 The gla spectrum creates 46% more photons than whatever spectrum that 0.015 number comes from, per measured lux.

Thanks for taking the time to post all of this information. That percentage seems high to me, so I ran some numbers. I am not seeing a 46% error. Mind sharing how you got to that percentage? With a 0.015 universal conversion factor, I'm calculating a 31% error in calculated ppfd for a light...

Too bad about cob rigs , I still use a few. I think they are still strong rigs to use. HLG 96’S are great light engines to construct a “ cob like “ light rig. Each can easily run 225w EACH . So a 6 piece rig or better with dimmable sets of ( 2 96’s or 3 ) can be a monster .

I've used a hlg pre-made light but want a qb 96 so I have to put it together ik basic electrical so I'm not worried. I do not know exactly what all I need though. The driver has a built in dimmer I believe but ik I want the ability to use the light at higher power in a bigger tent when upgraded...
