I do both but super crop to keep canopy of different strains consistent. Read uncle bens sticky on topping for 2 or 4 tops. He suggests waiting for 6 or 7 sets of true leaves. It gives u a very nice cutting to clone as well

I have revegged both a harvested plant and cloned flowering cuttings which take a little longer to root, but if ur good to them they reveg just like momma and grow strong. I had to do this when my clones were ready too early and started to die off and my flowering plants were taking longer...
