you need to put you plants on a 12 on 12 off lighting schedule, your plants need TOTAL darkness during the off stage. it'll take anywhere from a week to two weeks on the 12/12 lighting schedule to determin the plants sex. kill the males, keep the female plants on 12/12 for about 6 or more weeks...

I haven't found a CFL that will put out more than 1050 lumens, I too have been looking. I did find however a 300Watt incandescent that would do 6000 lumens.

yes, I know what a lumen is. I was just asking because it would be easier to look up if you had how many watts. I know a 100Watt CFL will put out around 1000+ lumens or so.
