Ruderalis is not a Type of Cannabis

There is no such thing as ruderalis. Only indica and sativa. While the autoflower trait is dramatic, a ruderalis plant does not give a certain type of high, which is the defining factor for sativa or indica strains. Discuss.

    What strains are you growing?

Long stories for most of my plants. 1. Swazi. When I first moved here, one of my coworkers had a couple seeds left over from when he grew. He was from South Africa and he said they were Swazi seeds. I started them off in a little Aerogarden, but because he had stored them in horrid conditions...

How long will the floweing period take???

It took me a while to figure out how that could be feasible. If it takes that long, I may reconsider going down there to get some. I like sativas, but damn that's a long wait.

    Light Cycle ?

There's no way that it actually goes all the way through flowering in 2 1/2 weeks. 2 1/2 months, maybe. That's about how long my Diesel Ryder took to flower, and it was great. Lowryder might show sex in 2 1/2 weeks, but you're not going to be smoking it that quickly. I can tell you that.

    cross polinating two breeds, name?

I've heard about those, and I want to try them! I would love to get some bagseed from Cambodia. I should start looking into going down there next year for the Spring Festival.

Will this happen if I over flower my plant?

Post a good picture of the top bud. That will give a good indication of if you went over, or are right on.

Chinese Bagseed Grow and Light Test

I bought the peyote as seeds from Grass City. They're only a couple months old, so they're very small. Honestly, I don't even know if I'll ever be able to harvest these ones. They take forever to grow, and I'll probably be back in America by then. Might be kinda hard to get through customs...

how far into flower does verticle growth stop

I'm going to say no. The pot does not effect how tall it can grow, but if you have a small pot, it can easily get root bound. This will make your plant grow slower, it will make it dry out faster, and it's just simply unhealthy. I keep my plants in small pots, but that's just because I put them...

how far into flower does verticle growth stop

Indica dominant strains will stop quicker, while sativa strains will keep going longer. I think pure sativa strains won't stop at all.

Chinese Bagseed Grow and Light Test

These measurements were taken back on the 4th. Plant 1 is 14cm tall. Plant 2 is 11.5 cm tall Quite a difference now. It beginning to feel like each plant has it's own personality. Plant 1 is like all crazy spiky, and plant 2 is just very mellow and calm. I hope they're both female, so...

    Male/female

The top part of the possibly male plant looks a lot like the tops of my male Diesel Ryders when they first started showing sex. That's why I think it's male. It's hard to tell though, because it's out of focus.

    bagseed 5th week flowering

Absolutely beautiful. That first photo was great. I've got two bagseeds in veg at the moment, and I can't wait to see how they come out. What sort of light setup are you using for it? Looks sativa to me. Where did you get the seed?

LST Clone DWC 400w plus CFL

Haha. I'm doing the same thing with a clone I took. The mother wasn't doing well, so I cloned it to save the genetics. I noticed the clone was growing at an odd angle and decided to LST for kicks. I'm putting it into flowering in a couple days. Yours looks to be doing nicely.

    cross polinating two breeds, name?

And it's not? How is what we're doing any different from what the seedbanks do? "Hey! I just crossed White Widow and AK47! I'll call it a white Russian!" The only difference is that they have the money and space to be much more particular in the ones they choose to breed.

    Male/female

I'm also pretty sure the second one is male. The picture is very out of focus though, so it's hard to tell. Males usually show sex before females, so that means the others have better chances of being female. Lowryders have a pretty small root system, but you still shouldn't plant them in the...

Chinese Bagseed Grow and Light Test

I'm going to let them flower for about 4 weeks total. If I was going for massive buds, I'd actually go out and make the effort to buy a ballast and an HID light. For now, I'm happy with what I have. I haven't seen bud in China, myself. I've been told that it goes for about 150 kuai a gram...

    Using Coco

I saw a guy on 420chan that grew with coco and loved it. He inspired me to use coco as well. I only mix it in with my soil, but it makes a very large difference. The soil is much lighter and fluffier, and watering it is actually a bit easier now. I haven't tried growing solely in coco, but I...

    dark purple stem on seedling

I just started two bagseeds about four weeks ago. They both had purple stems, and one was VERY purple. They both disappeared a bit after the second week. The stem got bigger, and that outer skin got dry and fell off with the seed leaves. The stem was green after that point. I was sad. I was...

    Mutation question

I think that making the hermie gene more common would be a bad thing. Unless we're breeding, we want to AVOID making seeds.
