^^^^ I should confess I vegged for a long time so you don't need this much lighting if you flower much earlier. You can start 4 under 2 cfls but to veg and flower you will need at least a couple hundred real watts of CFLs.

Seriously though. Go with HID - HPS and/or MH or go with Floros - T5s or CFLs (compact floros - spiral things).

Give them a couple days. You should cover the tops of the pots with plastic wrap to help retain moisture until they sprout.

You won't be able to grow right in the sand. You can dig out holes and plant pots with good soil into the sand.

How long did you do the paper bag method? Did you put into jars and 'burp' them for a few weeks? For the best cure you need like 3-4 weeks from harvest. Did you flush the plant before harvest? Nutes & salt build-up will make the weed burn poorly and sometimes cause like a 'crackle' when...

Are you not flushing or allowing enough time for the chloroform to dissipate? Both of those will cause a shitty burn.

You can't mount the LEDs to the wall because you need to them to be close to the plants... one of the major benefits is no heat so you can do that.
