Yeah thats why they don't even use duct tape for duct work. Find the aluminum tape at home center - it sticks to anything. It has a shiny metal side and then an adhesive side that is then backed with wax paper. I find it works well.

Incandescent (standard bulb) gives off too much heat and light in the wrong spectrum. You can get compact floros (CFLs) in the right spectrum for veg and flower. Heat Lamps are not good and UV lights can be used during flower for increased resin production but not worth looking into for newbs.

OK all... I think the lesson here is that to save electricity you need to think outside the grow room and cut your household consumption. There is NO magic bullet for cutting grow room usage!
