cloning in a week, how do I prep the mothers for success?

I am going to start taking clones in about a week or 2 and was wondering what steps do I need to take to prep the mothers so that they have the best chance of providing clones that survive? I have read that you should leech the medium with straight water for a week prior, but I'm not sure the...

day 56, no signs of preflowers yet

just wondering about when I should be able to see preflowers on my plants? Last grow I could swear that by day 56 from germination that there were very visible preflowers. rather than clone for sex, I prefer to just wait and trash any males, so I have more room for clones. Any ideas? I'm on...

are these plants ready to flower yet?

I have about 9 weeks until I have to have these plants completely done as we're leaving on vacation. the biggest one is about 12" above the surface of the soil medium. Are they ready to flower yet? These are just my practice plants, as this is my first grow. tomorrow, they will be 42 days...

    Seedling Rockwool Advice!...?

Rockwool has a high pH so you'll need to soak them with water with a pH of 4.5-5 because optimally it should grow best with pH of 5.8. Also you should have hem in a humidity dome with a heating matt under, this should help improve germination rates, I had the same problem and the humidity dome...

Is there something wrong with my rockwool?

Probably just from the hydroton, and it shouldn't be an issue, I have the same thing in my setup. If you're refreshing your reservoir weekly it shouldn't be an issue

why do these new leaves look wilted?

thanks closetgrowth, I am consistently running pH at 5.8-6.0 and also my PPM is around 1200. from what i've read, that should be the right ranges, but since this is my first grown, i'm not sure. just to be on the safe side, i'm going to dilute the reservior with distilled water, that should...

why do these new leaves look wilted?

anyone know why the newer leaves on this otherwise apparently healthy plant look like this? they are at day 37 and on 3/4 strength nutes. they are in a 4" rockwool cube surrounded by hydroton. watering is on a timer for 2 minutes at a time at 7 a.m, 10 a.m. 3 p.m 7 p.m and midnight. using...

when to start with nutes on 2 week old seedlings?

here are some new pics, 2 of the 4 plants are looking super, the other 2 have some minor issues. The first issue is that on one of my bigger plants, some of the larger leaves near the bottom are starting to get brown and yellow dry spots on them. I haven't been spraying them, only giving nutes...

    My First Grow

looking pretty good! I made the mistake of using nutes at 2 weeks. even at a 1/2 strength solution, I burned them all and killed them. I took someone's advice and waited till week 4 and started with a 1/4 strength mix, and then bumped it up to 3/4 by week 5. I will go full strength next week...

    Storage room Grow OP

what you listed is exactly as I have read it in the growers bible. great job on the grow! they are looking very strong. I have the same issue with the cool temps in my basement, I had to block the area off with a clear tarp, and put a zipper on it, and added a warm air humidifier. it helped me...
