Its risky, window light will usually stretch plants. If you can get at least 1 CFL it would be worth it. Planting indoors and transferring to outdoors can also cause stress on the plants and I don't recommend it.

If it was on 12/12 when you cut it, leave it on 12/12. It will recover, give it time.
