    The 3 in a bed thread :-)

Cheers Herbal Addict :-) I find that so long as you feed those roots well 2 in a pot is no problem. I use free draining 'bonsai' compost with LOTS of perlite mixed in. Of course you could multiplant and remove males if you wanted to increase your chances of ending up with a female in each...

    The 3 in a bed thread :-)

Hello mate :-) ..... I did think NeoAnarchist was being a bit hard on you there! Took a few shots of the 2 Kush just before lights on this morning.. shows bud development so far. You can see the one on the left is further ahead than the lady on the right, fans yellowing now and more brown...

    Help with growing large plants

Size and maturity has much to do with final yield of course. Put it this way, grown indoors my strain ( from clone)will produce just over a dry OZ in my small set up with the plants kept to under 18" tall, but when I put that same strain (clone) outdoors and let it veg up for 2 months it...

    cloning question

Try this simple method, I use it all the time and my strain (Bubba O Kush) roots in 10 to 12 days average. Get a 2 litre coke bottle or similar and cut the top off then wash thoroughly, Pour a layer of perlite about 2" deep in the bottom then add a little water and let it settle. Take your...

    The 3 in a bed thread :-)

Thanks for looking in NeoAnarchist :-) I have never really worked out actual lumens to be honest! The 2 Kush plants are now at day 63 from date of germination, 12/12 soon as they were out of the ground. Couple more weeks, maybe 3 to finish them, a few brown pistils now showing but shes...

    The 3 in a bed thread :-)

Hello mate. I think you hit it on the head there, I only smoke around 21grams a month on average and this is just right to keep me going so I never run out, :-) I guess if a grew more I'd only smoke more, so this suits me! PH test kit: This is the one I use (link below),,,simple manual narrow...

    The 3 in a bed thread :-)

Hi dontcopnone, thanks for the comments. I also like to keep things very simple. I'll try to answer your questions: Pots are 11" width, I can JUST fit 3 of them in there! I think they hold 8 litres of soil. Soil is loam based free draining 'bonsai' compost, little bit more expensive than the...

    callin' all cfl stealth growers

Yep, I think many would be VERY surprised. But its what takes your fancy I guess. I think Roseman's shots say it all really..... look at those buds, solid foxtails everywhere. Its time to approach CFL's with a more open mind. CFL growing is an art unto itself... its an art well worth...

my first cfl grow any help very much appreciated.

Nice and healthy there nitroman :-) Don't worry about her staying shot and bushy, better that way, wont be long before it takes off and you will be bending and tucking and fighting for space! also with CFL's its better to train those budsights to as level a canopy as possible on top. You can go...

    callin' all cfl stealth growers

Thanks for posting that Roseman. Good info. I have read similar articles before saying basically the same thing..... the CFL's when used correctly are EXTREMELY efficient and especially so in small cabinets where the entire inside can be covered in reflective material.

    callin' all cfl stealth growers

Thanks nitroman, I appreciate the comment. I just don't understand why so many growers are against the modern flouros, they are greatly improved over the old strip flouros that everyone used to grow with back in the day, but its rare to read a CFL grow thread without someone posting "get...

    callin' all cfl stealth growers

Good thread :-) I have been growing for over 13 years. I grow with CFL's because they give me everything I need, simple as that. Bud density is as good as HPS, I know because I used HPS for almost 11 years before changing over when I moved house. We keep hearing this 'get yourself a HPS' line...

    The 3 in a bed thread :-)

Thank you MightyThumb :-) Heres a shot of the inside with plants removed. Very simple.... 350watts of CFL's, 2700K's mostly with a couple of 6400K 'daylights' thrown in to balance the spectrum. Fixed fan at left blowing and exhaust fan at right pulling. Temps stay around 76 to 78 which is...

    The 3 in a bed thread :-)

Thanks FP. Couple of shots of the '2 in a pot' Kush plants today, about 3 weeks to finish I estimate and fattening up daily now, both are shooting out new flowers all over. Will update on the 3 clones in a few days time with pics.

    Are you fucking serious?

I used to know Jeff when he ran BudBuddies and the Welsh coffeeshop, can't remember what it was called now? Hes a good guy and knows his cannabis and has done loads for the pro legalisation cause. Personally I wouldnt bother with that tip though, but hey.who knows :-)! Heres another tip...

First Indoor Grow, Would this Work? Please help!

Sounds good so far. Ventilation is going to be important too, something to move the air flow through that tent. Have you thought about trying CFL's? Less heat build up with those BUT I know everyone will be telling you to get a HPS :-) If you want something less conspicuous old wooden...

    flowering clones

At what stage of flowering were those clones cut? From the colouring of the leaf it looks they were taken late in flowering? if thats the case then its going to take time to pull them round from flowering, a cutting taken late will usually show pre flowers before it reverts, no problem with that...

    noob cfl grow with pics

Looking good! Go ahead and take your cuttings, its the right time to take them, dont worry if they are small 3" or so cuts, I have alwasy found that the smaller/softer the cutting the faster they will root! Good luck.

Never seen this problem before please help!!!!

I'd say looking closely at your pics that the 'cupping' of your leaf edges could be due to slightly high temps, increased airflow should sort that one. The 'spotting' is more difficult, my first thought was pest/spider mite on the underside of the leaf, I have experienced that before and it...
