    Looking for experienced LED growers.

I grow in 2 closets and have one off site closet. I use a 120w in one, a 300w in another and a 400w HPS Hortilux on the off site. I love my LEDs. Yeild wise I get more than my 400W HPS, my 120 is about the same yeild as my HPS. before any of this though I started with four 4foot T5s for...

look at the bright side, males will show sex before females, so a long wait can be a good thing.

HELP me experienced T5 (and or) LED growers! You’re my only hope!

lol, I know what you mean. I use 2 closets in a room with no where to vent. I vent the closets into the room and rely on fans to keep things cool.

HELP me experienced T5 (and or) LED growers! You’re my only hope!

the t5s are really good to compensate for any short comings of the LED. I love my LED, although all that no heat with LEDs is a myth, my T5s ran a lot cooler than my 300W. Although yes compared to HIDs it is a lot less heat.

HELP me experienced T5 (and or) LED growers! You’re my only hope!

I grew 16 small plants under 4 X 4'T5s and had great results (sog). My next grow was under 8 X 4' T5s and had amazing results. I switched to a 120W LED and grew out 4 plants under it with okay results, not great but what I expected. It was my cheap light I got free with my 300W LED. I didn't...

    Another L.E.D. Grow Journal - I'm baaaaack!

Very normal depending on different factors. Usually happens with a longer growing season and I also believe some genetics might also be at play. I've heard the outdoor crops in Africa can get 13 and 15 finger plants with tree trunks for stems.

    power usage/ thermal imaging question

Sorry took so long here, but I have a lot of reading material to sort through to give you a proper answer. There is a product out the is supposed to help with sealing in the heat, it is a foil covering, I would guess somewhat similar to Mylar but a bit of an up grade. Easy grow foils from the...

    power usage/ thermal imaging question

I really like the product put out from Stealth Grow (Advanced Nutrients sub company). I use lights from a Canadian company called Glowdynamics. The main thing to look at is to make sure the drivers for the LEDs are made in the USA. The drivers from china are cheap and low quality. the US made...

    power usage/ thermal imaging question

From what I understand about thermal imaging, it depends on what they are using. If they are using the older technology then they can only see the heat escaping from the house, but the newer technology then they can see into the house and yes they can see it. No Mylar will not help as it is...

    Germinated seeds not sprouting?

If they are alive and you start messing around in the soil you might kill them. So you gotta wait and see what happens. I've carefully dug down to check on seeds but you must be really careful. Personally I hate the paper towel method. I've had very little success with it. I use peat pucks...

    dog shit

No worries man. Like I said I just remember stepping it as a kid and it sucked, but you are right you wanted to talk about fertilizer and it's getting off topic. That being said, let's get back on topic. So are you going to try and use some and see what happens? I would say if you are it...

    alot of white bugs

Don't use neem in the soil, can hurt the plant (at lest if did when I did). Probably roo aphids, I had them. Almost impossible to see then you just notice a white dot moving on the pot in the soil. The little bastards eat your roots. Get Botanigard 22WP. 2 table spoons per gallon (4 liters)...

Solving the fatal flaw of LEDs - experiment

Lots of good information here. I have a 300W and a 120W in the mail right now. My plan was to use the 300W up top and the 120W down bellow. they are replacing my 8 T5's that I've been using (which even though people tell me T5's suck I was happy getting 6oz every 2 months in a 4X2 space -...

    dog shit

First off I have a dog ass well, infact I have a large breed of dog. I believe that picking up after it is part of the responsibility of owning a dog. As a kid I stepped in my fair share of shit and it sucked (and stunk). It's not nice for the kids. If you have a baby you clean up after it...

    name this bug??please

Can not see it in this picture. If your plants are not flowering you can just get a broad spectrum insect poison, I use End All on anything I don't know, you can try neem oil, but I don't know what you are battling. I would go straight to the poison (don't eat the herbs for a few days after)...

I think I have thrips. HELP!!! PLEASE!

I think I'm getting them too. Mine look like Larvae in the soil crawling around. They look soft bodied, I know thrips are. So get Botanigard 22wp and spray and water with it. It is a bacteria that will target them, eat into them ad when they die, they come out back into the soil andspead...

    unidentified insect...with pics.

Lol, those were root aphids. I had those bastards. Get Botanigard 22wp. (wettable powder the es [emulsified solution] is for large mix ie 100L +) water with it each watering after about 3 waterings they will be gone. If they aren't water from the bottom. Use 2 table spoons per gallon (4...
