You do relize you NEED a ballast to make those bulbs work? Seems you still need to do a bit more research. If you do decide to buy online, check out HTG Supply or if your poor/cheap then perhaps consider the E-Cono light?

Get a 175W HPS over MV. HPS has more lumens per watt. (i think its almost double?)

I'm going bubble as well. I'll be using 2x150W HPS though along with some CFLs. I'd get some higher watters but heat is a problem for me, 70 - 90F ambient around here. I myself am using 2 15inch air stones in each of my 2 tubs.

Yeah in a small 7sqft area, a 150W can make more then enough heat to kill plants if the heat cant escape. No circualtion + heat source = buildup. plain and simple.
