Yes,the directions say 3 or 4 for a half tube...I tried it both ways and the color stays the same shade.I use 4 just to get a good color...

the fan helps a lot...the need all the air they can get....my problem was packing the soil...I left it fluffy,then as watering started packing it,I just added to the top...it seems to have done the trick on those...but they may be a bigger strain...I have a few more starts coming up,and a few...
