Thats bullshit,you dont need air between the water level and net pots.Its called bubbleponics cause theres constant air pumped to the nutrients though an air pump to air stones or defusier.To give the roots oxygen.

As long as you are not using rockwool,you could have the nutrient level higher if you want.But you are fine. Your plants havent wilted,so I guess your roots are nesting in,maybe thats why they dont look to be growing. If you dont let the plants over grow,that system will do you fine...

would a 600w not be a bit extreme for 3 week old seedlings? if i did us the 600w would i not have to have it raised very high from the tops? i thought metal halide would be better for young seedlings, no?
