How much is too much light?

This thread has me scratching my head. I pulled ~1.5lb (dry) in my 3x3 (defo, scrog, flood & drain, indica) with a 260w HLG QB. Next run I added another ~100w of linear led and pulled closer to 2lb (defo, scrog, drain to waste, sativa) AND got some foxtailing due to what I believed to be *too...

    Bulk hydroton/leca balls

I would work with a wholesale distributor in that case - try reaching out to https://growsolutions.hawthornegc.com/; they have warehouses spread around the country.

    Seed/Germination issues

I'm thinking about it now - there were a couple days right smack in the middle of the summer where I was without electricity due to a breaker box needing replacing. Maybe the heat messed them up.

    Seed/Germination issues

I keep them in a little wood box in a cupboard. I get what you're implying about the dampness but that would undermine the entire paper towel or cup of water method. Using the starter plugs though, I'm sure my saturation levels were on point. I'll try putting one in a freezer though, why not.

    Seed/Germination issues

I've never had a seed go bad but it seems like my entire seed inventory has simultaneously gone to crap which really blows. In the past, I'd germinate all my seeds in rockwool, issue free but then I tried to pop some new ones a month ago and after the tap root would form, growth would just stop...

    Octopots!

I use DIY SIP's for my outdoor plants mostly bc I'm lazy and they are quite easy to build and maintain. I grow tomatoes, cucumbers, and watermelon and also have an herb garden in a store bought SIP (home depot) where I have some mint, basil, and cilantro growing. That said, I choose traditional...

Hydroponic system with shortest vertical profile?

Haha no man not those. Something like Bridgelux EB gen 2 or 3 as primary lighting. With height as an issue they're ideal.

Hydroponic system with shortest vertical profile?

Start from the top down and use linear strip lighting Rockwool slabs would work well here, drain to waste especially. https://www.grodan.com/en-usa/product-overview/grodan-uni-slab/?selectedCat=data%20sheets%20101

    Coco in a Waterfarm

I'll admit that my experience with coco is limited to keyboard warrior, but from what I understand coco does not require a dry period and so the constant drip (or maybe even a timed drip) should be fine. I found this: https://420dotcom.com/biker-kush-coco-grow-with-heavy-16aptus.html which...

    Question about rockwool

The residual lime in rockwool dissolves in water - a 30m soak is all that you need to fix any potential pH issues. @Spliffer1 if you used to soil, perhaps try something like grodan gro-cubes. I used to utilize a 80/20 ratio of gro-cubes and hydroton in fabric pots, drip fed; worked really...

    Flood duration time question

If you're going top feed/drip, it should be a light trickle - no way it should out flow your drain man. That said, I would stick with a basic f&d like @Renfro said. In my last tent, I converted my basic f&d setup to top feed (just for fun) dtw and it was not worth the hardware/hassle. Basic...

    do meters

This is how I always assumed it to be as well - what are your thoughts on a larger res with the same volume of media and water being pumped? Let me clarify, my thought was to simply stick the grow chamber on top of a larger res, all other things being equal.

    do meters

Cool thread. I just had a successful first run with a Waterfarm (unmodified) but I do want a larger reservoir to make life a little easier. I was concerned about DO levels though myself. Their larger system (Powergrower) only holds a half gallon more whilst still pumping out the same volume...

    Hydro setup help

When I ran a flood table, I used an active aqua 2x2 (in a 3x3 tent) and it was 7" deep - you only flood a few inches though so maybe you can get away with a more shallow table but since I haven't tried, I don't want to talk out of my ass. I did eventually convert the table to top feed/drain to...

    Hydro setup help

The deed (premium) 3x3 flood tables from Active Aqua are 41"x41" (OD) which shouldn't seem small for a 4x4. You want fresh air to be able to pass by the outsides of the table since your intakes are at the bottom of the tent.

Need advice. 3x3 grow tent LED.

I ran a 260w qb v2 in a 3x3 and it worked well however light spread was not ideal and so I made a fixture and added some f-series strips to even it out. In retrospect, 2 135's would have been better from the start.

1st Waterfarm, French Cookies, DIY LED, 2X2ish

So final update. I started extending the dark cycle to 14hrs at first, then 15hrs, and finally 16. This seemed to have stalled out the new calyx growth that had started and it ripened her up pretty well. I also discovered purple rosin. I had no idea this was thing but if I understand it...
