DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

i have seen mention of ebb and flow many times as an alternative to dwc with tea. If slime is always lurking, why risk your grow. Why do dwc instead of ebb and flow?

plants showing multiple deficiencies, or is the ppm too low

There is no light leaks, the black tubs are thick. Right now i am using hydro-fungicide, which kills all bacteria indiscreetly. I tested this stuff on some other plants and it worked well for me. They probably are still recovering.

plants showing multiple deficiencies, or is the ppm too low

NO WAY i just got over my 3 month experiment with beneficial tea. That is what caused the root problems in the first place. It simply did not work for me. I do not know why, but i have better luck without it. I always got too much biofilm and the airstones always clogged.

plants showing multiple deficiencies, or is the ppm too low

im running: h&g A - 3ml/gal h&g B - 3ml/gal calmag - 3ml/gal epsom - 1g/gal this got me to about 520ppm and i diluted it until it was about 420ppm I just got over some root problems, so i am hesitant to raise the res temps. They are starting to punch out new roots and the old roots are still...

plants showing multiple deficiencies, or is the ppm too low

running rdwc in veg. using house and garden a&b, cal mag, and epsom salt. Running at 420ppm with 5.8pH. res change was 3 days ago and water temp is 63 just got over some root problems, so they may be weak and still recovering. The bigger plants seem to be doing better, the smaller plants look...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

I have started using tea again in my undercurrent vegger with the right recipe. I did (2) physan 20 bombs and did a res change and moved to synthetic nutes. Here are my roots in recovery, they look a little better everyday. It is still too early since the inoculation of tea happened 2.5 days...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

anyone "flooming" their tea? A water pump lifts more water than an airstone could EVER lift to the surface for gas exchange. a gentle flooming in any tank or vat is superior aeration. And it's as simple as dropping in a submersible pump and aiming it at the heavens...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

From my experience with uc, you must start with a 1/2 dose of everything. And after my first run, i would include tea in that. gettogro, i will be trying a 1/3 dosage of tea coming up, i will let you now the results. That will be 1 cup per 3 gallons to inoculate and 1 cup per 15 gallons every...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

gettogro, that is exactly what happened to me. When i lifted my 1 plant, the bottom chunk of roots just fell off. I also am using the tea in UC. As much as people think DWC and UC are similar, they are not. UC requires a significantly less amount of nutrients than DWC because of the...

mr bond, i guess i came across a little harsh. I did not intend to point fingers. I have read this complete thread twice, but with nearly 1500 posts, i must have overlooked some critical details or did not think some details were as important as others. The is no light coming in the buckets...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

the tea worked well for 2.5 months. These past 2 weeks simply fell apart. Maybe it was my screwed-up recipe, maybe it something else. Whatever it was, the solution should never be: "just add more tea". It is sad because i posted this problem here on november 20th and did not get good responses...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

my problem has nothing to do with h2o2. My roots seem to get worse after i add the tea. And the pH always plummets after i add tea.
