    Inline fan and heaters

I am a fan of Hyperfans. Very efficient and can be turned down, dimmer included and they can move some air.

Would people buy a heatsink that allows water cooling?

I tested the PAR output of a CLU058 3618 @ 250w on an Ice cold day (almost need glove to hold it). From start up to fully warmed up, I only saw a 10 umol difference (1400 to 1410). The reason I quit playing with watercooled COBs.

    Rahz' notes and observations

Oh, the 2 DE were on high, and we did almost half the wattage, 20% less, and about the same, but again I was so busy at this time and my friend was gone most of that time and none of these runs were his better runs (lazy helper let problems get out of hand). We weren't running the COBs for...

    Rahz' notes and observations

@Evil-Mobo we had done a couple different ways, the biggest difference was a 4000k/70cri fixture, then the 3500k/80cri, and the 3000k/90cri over a 4'x8' tray. After 2 or 3 weeks, it looked like a staircase of plants about 6" tall every color change, but the 4000k lack canopy density. This was...

    Rahz' notes and observations

I too have seen similar results. I still recommend the 3000k/90cri in most cases. I like the extra stretch I get for indicas, while still stacking nicely. My side by side also had the growth density and stretch with a SFV OG were nearly the same. @Evil-Mobo The 3000k/90cri next to a DE fixture...

    AC/Dehuey for 5x5

If you go with a portable, then you want a dual hose, unless smell isn't an issue.

    AC/Dehuey for 5x5

@SCJedi Is their any way you can circulate the air from inside the house? I am sure you keep the house cooler than the garage. 2 six inch holes into the house and you might not need the dehu or AC.

any one running 2700k with 6500k

If I was going to run 6500K at all during flower, I would only have it turn on for the middle 4 hours of the day and that is it.

Setting up a sealed room for winter - any advice?

look up DIY minisplits. I use an IdealAir 12,000 btu with heatpump that runs 115v, never over 760 watts. It has is precharged and has a quick connect, so this thing can be moved very easily. If you can follow directions, it is a breeze.

No, but the $2 ones usually fail if used much.

Anybody ever played with one of these?

The drivers are almost as important as the led. If you are starting with a cheap driver, you are starting with an 85% or less efficient driver. A quality driver runs 92% or better. You are losing 10% or more right off the bat. Also, there is nothing worse than having a crappy driver die on you 2...

    Buds quality LEDs VS HPS

Garbage like that is hiding their true wattage in the fine print. Look deeper, you will find it to be about half that wattage. Stay away from any company using this tactic.

    Reservoir people

I use my res for flood and drain and not drain to waste. Which are you considering? If flood and drain I change my 40g res every week, but can go 2 weeks adding water. My 40g res has been good for 50 square foot of tray/canopy.

You should be fine. I have ran mine of generators and cheap harbor freight inverters without issue.

what kind of led YIELDS are you guys hitting?

Me personally, I like to run anywhere between 20-35/sf. with COBs. Most of my runs I screw something up, but still manage to see .8 grams/watt, with my best at 1.4 grams/watt. This was at 30 watts/sf.

Can a light get too efficient

The biggest difference I notice is stretch, until I get around 4000k. I had 3000k/90cri, 3500k/80cri, and 4000k/70 or 80 (can't remember) over a 4'x8' tray next to another tray with 2 gavitas. 3000k/90 was almost identical to the gavita side in height and leaf/branch density. The 3500k/80cri was...
