OOPS.... Burnt Cob of Corn (Minus the Corn)

@Randomblame I just got to busy to post lately and it seemed like I was just posting the same things. I have a 2'x8' tray that is vertical, but the rest of the room is just 3 3'x3' trays now.

OOPS.... Burnt Cob of Corn (Minus the Corn)

I have tested a couple thermal pads vs. arctic silver 5 and the pads were garbage. They require more pressure than some of the holder will allow. On the 600w heatsink, you will see that the thermal pads did almost nothing. I will say that the citizen COB can take some heat (270+*c) and it still...

    Portable AC question

Have you factored in multiple/large dehumidifier? This is a must in a sealed room and will produce a lot more heat.

Cheap and Cheerful DIY using Citizen cobs

Unfortunately the new Citizen's are a new line, not the next gen. The line is call HC (high current). I have been told the HC's use larger Nicha dies. These are looking to be best at high current. The new pricing for CDIWEB is $52 for the 1825 and $93 for the 3618. The strange thing I noticed is...

In search of a couple good OSCILLATING clip on fans for my 8x4 tent

I have been looking at tower fans. I plan on putting them in the corners, up a foot or two.

Question on pushing air through carbon filter outside of tent

For no chance of smell leaking out, directly attach fan to filter. That way all ducting is negative pressure. If it is a duct booster fan, then no it won't work.

Led- Turn them up or down

At 60% on HLG drivers, the efficiency of the driver starts to fall off. Buy a driver that you know at the lowest you plan on running is about 60%. Don't worry about the driver temp. Datasheets show 70* for 100000 hrs. IF your grow style is more suited to T5 fixtures, then go with strips. If your...

CRI test and Mcree weighted results

You can't compare them like that. Each one will have different peaks if you compare at a set wattage. You would have different max peaks if ran at the same wattage.

Grandmaster Level - HLG Quantum Boards vs 1000w HPS side by side (youtube)

A room with both LED and HPS might be best in the low 80* with CO2 added. I add CO2 in winter so I can get the room into the 80* with the fans off and the scrubber on. Summer uses is usually just exhaust fans and no CO2.

    Best 300w led...advise

What are you calling a good yield for that tent? Similar setup with white COBs @600w I have seen over 2 pounds.

    Spectrometer and new COB

@CobKits What holders were they? I had HV 18g holders special order from Binder + Wirth. They don't/can't put the type of pressure on the COB as any other I have tried.

    Spectrometer and new COB

The Coolbay Teras should be able to safely cool about 500w of that COB. It was good to about 480w I was told (saw test video) on the GEN5 3618. Were these using pads or paste? All test I did showed that I might as well have used nothing with the pads, though they were so much easier. I always...

    Spectrometer and new COB

@CobKits I am planning on preordering a tray later today or tomorrow. I am planning on getting a tray of 3000K/90CRI later today or tomorrow. I haven't looking to see where the price has landed for volume orders yet. Might be about to work something out on testing.

    Spectrometer and new COB

@nc208 That is only a par meter, not a spectrometer. I already have an Apogee-501, but it does nothing give the spectrum for playing with mixing lights.

I am ordering a tray today, but might not see them until mid-end of April. Citizen is coming out with a CLU059 3618. Max temp at both...
