So far i like Miracle Grow soil after 6-7 weeks of vegging. Per the company, the nute capsules are supposed to be used up about after one month. I noticed my plants not looking good after about a month, so since then I have been giving them Miracid in their water and they love it. No nute burn...
Cool, i will do this for now, but do you guys think a plant can be happy into and throughout the flowering stage in two 1 gallon stacked pots, or will i have to triple stack eventually!
So I am vegging in my 5-6th week and the plants are in 1 gallon containers. I need to repot, BUT my grow space won't allow for any bigger pots.
Somebody said I could cut the bottoms off of these pots and put them on top of another 1 gallon container filled with soil.
What do you think...
So last weekend, the plants started yellowing from bottom leaves up and they had stopped growing.
I finally concluded it was either from under watering, nitrogen deficiency, or because i had added two 2700k lights.
So I removed the 2700k bulbs, gave the plants lots of water with nutes high...
i bought a 5 dollar moisture meter today. I tested it in dry soil and it registers "dry", i tested it in watered soil, and it measures "moist". I dunked it in a glass of water, still "moist". So it never registered WET. more or less a piece of junk i think.
No hermies yet, I haven't posted in a while but everything is going ok - with yellowing of some leaves.
I went away for 3 days, I watered before leaving, but when i got back home the soil was VERY DRY.
We also had some hot days, so temps may have gone above 85 degrees in the grow box. Because...
so i woke up this morning and checked on them, the temp was at 70 degrees F and humidity at 30% - its starting to warm up today so hopefully they didn't get too stressed out.
One more question, do some plants naturally have limper leaves that hang a little down, or are they all supposed to be...
Just got home from the clubs with my wife - 1 am and very drunk. Checked my weedlings, and they seem normal, but noticed humidity was at 20%!!!!! Before I left, they were at 60%
The only difference between then and now - is that a VERY cold cold front came in and the windows in the apartment...
I didn't tell anybody this - because i feared the backlash of opinions, but when i started, they were on 24/0. They weren't growing that fast, so i switched to 18/6, they grew a little better. THEN i switched to 20/4 (what i thought was my own invention) and they grew faster. So in my...
yeah that little plant germinated late, and was a runt for like a week.
It finally started growing but the leaves are coming in all gnarled and curly.
I am hoping it will recover. - i put tupperware under it's pot to get it closer to the lights too.
when they are baby seedlings they like humidity, but once they are in grow mode - with nice leaves, you have to keep humidity 60%-50% i think to avoid rot, mildew, fungis, (thats what i keep my humidity at) i control it by not watering too much.
So far so good. i had fruit flies attack my plants - because of an earthworm farm bucket i had. Problem has been taken care of. Meanwhile the plants are happy, i reduced watering because a few were looking limp.
Only gonna upload a group photo from here on, unless I need to talk about a...
