You waste alot of light by having them close , Anything above 9'ish inches is good. Having them upclose just keeps the light focused into a small area reducing your overall potential coverage. They look pretty good though.

A good way to get rid of it is to get a spray bottle and fill it with water ( 750ml ) and put in about two tea spoons of apple cider vinegar and just spray mist the plant all over with it , under the leaves too. It works pretty well.
