for the plants on the bottom I would take the T5 bulbs and have them above the plants becuse then they will grow taller , if you have them on the side they won't want to grow taller because the light sorce isn't above them and its beside them. remember , plants grow twords the light sorce. and...

take some leafs off each plant and that will help stunt their growth , taking clones off will also do the same thing.

for people who are starting out don't have alot of money started with Floresent lights or CFLs but for the price of the $30 I would just stay with CFLs from start to harvest:weed:

I would go with CFLs for flowering for sure , Flo tube for veg is iight but I wouldn't use thoes

$30 for a T5 bulb? Ouch , go with CFLs bro. a 10 pack of 15w 6,5ooK , 900 lumes each cost under $12

they won't grow fast under T5 bulbs the only way you can get a faster growth is if the lights are realy close to the plants just move the lights up so that they will grow taller

Question VV , I see that your using a greenhouse for your seedlings but I look at other people's journals and they don't use one , whats the diffrince between using one and not using one?

when the paper towel drys at the top the '' wick '' will help bring water to the top. its kinda like haveing your plants in a dish and water in the dish , the soil will pretty much act like a wick and soak the water up

maybe you got seeds that are older then the seeds he got so they could take longer :neutral:
