Starting to wonder if I'm wasting time and money.

They appear to be nice & healthy looking as I agree with all of the aforementioned posts before me. My only curiosity is what soil are you using, is it PH balanced, what nutrients do you have your plants on, & is there holes in the bottom of your buckets so the soil is "free draining"?

    seedling are skinny as hell

Bring the light closer to the plants for a few days & see if it helps. I agree with Racerboy that the light appears to be the problem & your plants are "stretching" for it.

DK's 400w tent grow! Starring Goo, Mango and Purple Nepal!

60 watts of light is needed per square feet. In a 36"x20" space, 400 watts is going to work out just fine. Distance to the plant should be measured with the back of your hand. Hold the back of your hand flush with the tops of your plants & see if the light burns your hand. If you can hold your...

About to start growing i need help dont wanna fuck up please help ?

Try picking up a good book like Marijuana Horticulture: The INDOOR/OUTDOOR Medical Grower's Bible. I've just read through 5 different texts & this one by far will repay itself in awesome buds to help you out along your way. Pick up a bag of Ocean Forest Soil from Fox Farm to start the plants in...

    What's a seed's shelf life?

Nice wan, let me know how those work out for you because I've heard mixed reviews on some of their newer strains they've been trying to work out but it could be due to problems with F2 hybrids or something. I am thinking about placing an order with them myself. Just as a storage idea for you; I...

1st time grow, flushing or no flushing how big is the difference???????

Godfathers of growing such as Jorge Cervantes, Ed Rosenthal, & Mel Frank all state to flush at least 2 weeks before harvesting so your bud doesn't taste like chemicals. If you enjoy toking great tasting sensimilla then it's best to flush, sir.

First time hydro, looking for some friendly adivce

Agreed, 16 watts minimum per square foot & if possible, throw in some UV lighting as well to strengthen those budlets. RH during veg is optimal at 50-60% but you want to down it to 30-40% during flowering to keep bud mold at bay. Be careful with the ozone usage because if it's seeping back into...

    Need info

Awh the question of nutrients, it's as if debating religion, politics, or money in some social circles. Each & every person has a specific line of nutrients they prefer & it readily works for them. I started out with Fox Farm myself in a DWC system and it was an absolute BITCH to control the PH...

    What's a seed's shelf life?

Taken from The Big Book of Buds Vol. 1: "The best way to store seeds is to keep them in the refrigerator and keep them dry. Dried rice or silica gel can be used as a desiccant. Seeds stored this way keep for years, possibly decades, with only a slight reduction in germination rate." -Green Man...

    Hermie question

Yes it will still keep growing pollen sacks and if you continue to clip them you can inadvertently distribute pollen in your grow space. Your best bet is to water the plant down and the space which will render the pollen useless once it comes into contact with water. On the brighter side, all of...

    UVB increases Potency

I just finished that book up last night after downloading it on my iPhone! That was deep shit that covered a ton of things on growing cannabis, don't you agree? Now I'm diving into Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes and I was planning to try out the UV light theory as well. Post your...

    humidity question

Clones root best at 95-100% humidity for the first 2 days with a gradual decline to 85% during the following week. They also root faster when the growing medium is a few degrees warmer than the ambient air temp. A warm substrate increase underground chemical activity, and lower air temps slow...

    Question about clones

Nice wan mayne. I built the RumpleForeSkin cloner and have had 100% success with it so far. A humidity dome over the top of the cloner with clones inside, 70-80 degree water in the cloner, and keeping an ambient temp of 80 degrees has boosted my success rates. Try out my recommendations and see...

    Question about clones

Build a cloner so you can veg your clone out for a while and get closer to 100% success when you decide to take clones from our original F1. You can get up to 100% success but it takes some practice.

    opinions needed for mother box

I would personally use a 5 gallon bucket and stand height of your makeshift tent upwards of 5 to 6 feet. This allows Mom to have plenty of branching and bounce back quicker when you harvest clones from her on a regular basis. At some point you will probably decide to flower her when you take a...

Anyone using a heat pad with a EZCloner?

Optimal room temp is between 70-80 degrees. You can use the heat mat or you can throw an aquarium heater in there to keep your water temp at 80 degrees.
