I think you'd run into problems with heat before you had to much light. I know lots of people use 1000w HPS lights and alot more.

I'm doing a 12/12 from seed grow and I know that there are lots of other people that have done it. It is true though that you wont get the same results without vegging. If your just looking to grow some bud for yourself (like I am) then I'd say go for it just make sure your girls are well fed.

Yeah I've searched to see if I could find a good answer but haven't really come up with anything. My guess is that something hormonal happens and the plant rushes growth to have a decent amount of seeds. I have no evidence to support my claim but that is what I think the plant does.
