    eb flow and coco

I use Hydroton with a Cocotek mat underneath for plant stability. I really gives the roots something to hang on to when the buds pop. The mat keeps the fibers intact so no clogging.

Home Invasion, life goes on. some debt lingering, now what? thoughts please

Sorry to hear of your grief. In my opinion - both of you should take the hit. He got his equipment back - you got nothing but freaked. Under these circumstances I think any ordinary human would work something out. It seems that "the guy" is not an ordinary human. Common sense would tell you...

    Does Anybody Use This Pump?

I do not know the dimensions, but it uses a standard air hose, for an aquarium air pump available at any pet store.

    flushing question

Fenderman - I do not give false info. True, Advanced has recently changed the Final Phase label but if you go here http://www.gchydro.com/prd/PHA/Advanced_Nutrients/labels/finalphase_label.jpg you will see the old label. It clearly says Rockwool and soil - use with properly PH balanced...

Seen many posts flaming Advanced Nutrients.Anyone had good or better than good result

You missed some of the sticker shock by not pricing Sensizyme ($100 a gal and you need about 16 ozs for 25 gal res) and Overdrive (about $120 a gal but you use a lot less). The line is expensive as hell, but I still use them and I am totally satisfied. There may be less expensive neuts that...

    flushing question

I use Final Phase to flush hydro. It is recommended that you use PH of 7.0 during flush. Your plants do uptake the flushing solution to remove the nutrient salts that store in the flowers. Hope this helps

Way to separate a grow room?

I separate my rooms using Panda Film (one side white, one black ). I attach the top and one side with Gorilla duct tape - I use a full length Velcro strip on the remaining side for easy entrance. Gorilla tape (about $10 a roll - expensive) because it is the only tape that does not seem to dry...

spider mite help - 2 weeks into flowering cycle

Two remedies I have used at this stage. 1 Floramite - 20 day residual effect - If you have more than 3 weeks before harvest - mites deader than hell. Very potent but expensive $20. Found on the net (floramite.com) or some grow stores. 2 Insecticidal soap - can be used right up to harvest - used...

Is Alaskin Thunder Fuck a dead starin??

I have been growing ATF for about 6 years. Clones were brought to the NW about 12 years ago. Poor picture but a picture non-the-less I have some about 4 weeks in flowering now and if I think about it I may take a couple pictures (not promising anything)

    600w Alaskan Thunderfuck

ATF is one of my main strains. Been growing it for about 6 years. Do not worry about the purple stems as that is natural in the strain. This strain has a great yield, so you should enjoy. It grows well in dirt, but it really loves hydro.

Hydro vs Soil (a growers perspective)

wilsoncr17, I totally agree. What some people miss when talking about hydro taste, is that the plants are the result of what they are fed. Using proper nutrients and additives with a proper flush, can give you great tasting finished product with 3 times the quantity.

    Roots Above Ground

You know, this is one of the reasons I hesitate to respond to posts here. When you do respond - with real life cannabis growing experience - to try to help someone out, you get lessons in technical speak about growing tomatoes. You also tend to get snarky comments like, "One's wonderful...

    When to start final flush?

I generally check the trichs each time I enter my room. You will see them grow as they start out as little bumps on the leaves - then straight stalks (clear) - then stalks with balls on the top (clear turning white). When the trichs have reached totally white is when I start to flush, as I grow...

Need electric Timer for Ebb & Flow...LOST!

Why digital and not mechanical? I use both the removable pin type and the one that you push down the little slots on the wheel. Both work well but the second type has two outlets so I can use them for more than 1 res. Definitely my favorite.

Seen many posts flaming Advanced Nutrients.Anyone had good or better than good result

I changed over to Advanced about a year ago. I use the Sensi A&B - grow and bloom. Before changing over I was using Supernatural in both soil and hydro. I now use most of the Advanced line and am very happy with the results. All growing is a personal experience - and mine has been enhanced by...

    Roots Above Ground

Having used this technique for the last 6 years, and having not read high times since the second issue, I believe calling this technique a bad idea is - well, a bad idea. I originally started to step transplanted root balls to give the tap roots more room to stretch. The result is a solid bud...
