Housefly wigging out under 90watt UFO!

UPDATE: Just checked him and he was laying on his side, on top of the medium in the peat pot he was previously perched on. I "poked 'eem widda steek" and he spazzed out for a sec, then uprighted himself...still chillin there. That damned light makes me see green everywhere I go. Flies have...

Housefly wigging out under 90watt UFO!

I have a starter tray of garden seedlings on a heating pad, under a 90watt UFO. I was checking them earlier, and a housefly cruised past me. As he went under the light, he dropped like a rock and landed on the medium. Then, he flips on his back and just starts spazzing out. I got a video of...

    Am I permanently fucked?

Really? Remind me to never buy pot from YOUR dealer. Marijuana has long been classified as a mild hallucinogen...ever try edibles? It's amazing how so many people know so little. As for the first time smoker/bad tripper...anxiety attack bro. Those things can easily be set off by almost any...

the wonderfull and amazing family of 2c-

I didn't say I could predict what someone else's trip will be like at all....as a matter of fact, that's the error I was pointing out in the first place. Look, I'm not gonna say where I got mine; but it wasn't from one of these goofball supply houses that peddles promises and second-rate...

the wonderfull and amazing family of 2c-

No complaints on the removal of said vendor, but if you had 2c-b and didn't get the wierd cerebral high, capable of inducing a "bad" trip, then you got some sh*tty 2c-b. My friends and I have done ALOT of hallucinogens...ALOT! I've mixed 3.5 pills of GOOD reagant & merck tested MDMA with 1 hit...

    Plants retaining environmental scents?

Kinda crazy I ran across this because I noticed something just last night... "Hungry," I went to the cupboard for some cheetos. My old lady left the bag open and they were on the shelf, next to an open bag of apples. The entire bag of cheetos has a STRONG taste of apples. As I type this...

240 volt lumatek ballast <-- ok to use water heater timer?

Sadly enough, most people don't...on ANYTHING. These are normally the geniuses standing in front of their charred dwelling, attempting to explain to the Fire Marshall exactly how "this" happened.

    Replacement Drivers For 90watt UFO?

Found em for $12.50 but thank you for replying. It's been hard to get the attention of anyone who actually knows whats going on lately. I guess it's to be expected when our posts are hidden amongst all the "Check out my growroom idea!" B.S. posted by every idiot and their sister. Half those...

    Replacement Drivers For 90watt UFO?

Wow...don't everybody rush in to help at once...kinda reminds me of my last electrical question....probably too intelligent for the masses. No worries...found the answer myself....again.

    Replacement Drivers For 90watt UFO?

Here's a few pictures of the component in question...I looked for the boost buck controller online, and from the picture I eventually found, I'm not sure that's it. It's hard to find a part when you have no clue what it's called exactly. There are no part numbers or anything on this bastard...

    Replacement Drivers For 90watt UFO?

I could see right away what was damaged. There are two "drivers" that power each half of the light. I called them transformers because they switched from 120v AC to 110V DC (or is that a rectifier?). Anyway, one of them is putting out 104VDC and one is at 4VDC. So I took it out and opened it...

    Replacement Drivers For 90watt UFO?

Anybody know where to get these transformers? One went out on a buddy's light. The one that works has an input voltage of 110v AC and an output voltage of 109v DC. I cant seem to find these anywhere.

Experienced Electrician! Here to Answer Any and All Growroom Electrical Questions

Didn't say it was 2-circuits. And as for this tab business, why wouldn't it shut off? I understand there could be backfeed when the stat closes, but that doesn't concern me. I thought the tab just connected the top and bottom outlets. Breaking the tab makes the outlets independent of one...

Experienced Electrician! Here to Answer Any and All Growroom Electrical Questions

Wow, still no takers huh? Well I've been thinkin it over and if the "path of least resistance" rule is true, it oughta work. I pictured it as puttin a jumper from one point to another on the same wire for each the "hot" and "neutral" respectively. Since the power's comin from the same source...

The monster plan will it work?

Move that stuff in undercover...tryin to make your neighbors think you grow veggies is an awful idea. I dunno bout you, but I talk to my neighbors like 3 times a year. Figure you move in, get friendly with em, do your "show and tell," then you'll rarely see em. When you do, they'll wanna...

    Attention Potential Poly-Wrap Users

On a recent build, I decided to give mylar-backed christmas wrapping paper (poly-wrap) a try on the walls. Since the existing walls were textured concrete, I glued sheets of Greenboard to them using Heavy-Duty Construction Adhesive (peeled plastic layer from wall side of foam first), then...
