Installing a GFCI on each circut would work. But if if it's your house (not renting) you might want to have an electrician give it a look. Grounding to the pipe or stake might work, but only if the wiring in the house supports it either in conduit or the 3rd ground wire. If the wiring itself...

Trash cans from walmart? Tend to be deep, diff sizes...Drill / melt in some drainage holes. My current pots are 1.5 gal square food service containers I picked up at a restaurant supply store. They happened to fit my space perfectly.

I've run PC fans off of cell chargers and other adapters (which generally are DC transformers, just low voltage) for years and haven't burnt anything out yet. I like the 6-9V ones as they run the fans quieter.

I've put them in as soon as I had about 1 in of anything - one root or several, branching or not. I make sure that once it's in soil, that the soil stays super saturated for a day or 2.

Thanks. I don't really buy the idea that one side of the plant has anything to do with the other, so wanted to test that as well. If doing something to one side affects the other, a plant would grow symetrically. So if one side of my plant does much better than the other cause it's getting...

Thanks for the words Gumball. Yeah it's interesting seeing all the posts telling me what I should or should do on this experiment because that's what "they say" or "I heard", or "in theory"... Do they not realize an experiment is designed to test those exact statements?
