As I've mentioned - I've got a grow cab full of clones all coming from the same plant years ago. call that control if you must. A real control, would be identical sized clones grown at the same time under identical conditions - same light intensity, precise nutes, measured amounts of water...

HAHAHA. thanks :) I just pulled 43.4g off of 2-23w cfls (that's .94g/w for those keeping track). they were trained and selectively trimmed... just saying.

Yeah it's pretty funny that a bunch of pot-smokers who cobble together all kinds of shit in basements and attics and call it a grow actually expect SCIENCE. You want a real scientific experiement that creates data - GO TO A UNIVERSITY - not a online pot-growers forum.

Yeah - I'm glad the stretch seems to be over. Definately more sativa here than advertised... On the plus side - buds are building, and if they build anything like on my other plants - whoa - I'm gonna be a happy dude in a another 6 weeks or so...

Thanks all! The whole grow was done using the 2700k's. It was what I had on hand... I'll try changing out the colors next time and see if there is any noticeable difference.

Again - at it's most basic level, this is to test if one side of the plant effects the other - If I compare one side to the other, and one side does much better than the other, doesn't that tell us something?? How else would you propose to test this? I'm working with the same clones I have...

I disagree - tress, shrubs, plants of many types get trimmed and pruned to the extreme all the time without negatively impacting their health. Why not cannabis? Organisms don't always grow symetrically. And thus we have an experiment!

If it's blocking out other bud sites, I'd try to tuck it out of the way, if that doesn't help - trim it out. Summary: about 15 days into flower - a few leaves have been trimmed on the trim side to prevent light blockage on a couple sites, but no visible difference...
