usually when i have plants grow cucumbers or squash like this its either from incomplete pollination or lack of water during extremely hot periods.

i would not transplant during flower ever just too much stress just let them go and they will be fine just keep them fed appropriately

you definately have either thrips or mites my guess would be more thrips. see the stipling on the leaves? that's your tell tale sign of sucking insects

cat nip is directly related to mint and other types of lavender, so it will do two things for sure spread like crazy, just like mint does, and will flower heavily just like a lavender
