There ARE Sativa dominate autos whose breeders suggest topping is necessary, due to Sativa influence. So with conventional Autos, NO it is not commonly recommended. Keep your eye out though cause there are large auto strains out there that require long flowering periods and get BIG. Stay...

That depends if they are smaller, indica dominant phenos, or three large sativa dominant phenos? Get a four foot lamp. Even then, spending that kind of money, you should just invest in a 400W HPS, or a series of spiral 125W CFLs. Look for used T5 Quantum BadBoys. If you can find TWO of them used...
