lol that makes it even harder! both show the exact room temp but totally different humidity readings.. guess i am going to have to get a third meter to see which is really wrong.. it would be funny if i get a different reading from the third device..

my digital $10 acu-rite temp/humidity shows 35% and my $5 analog guage shows 50% is the digital one more accurate?

okay. just thought it should be 3-4 times it's current size based on what i've seen on the forum. some people post pics of their 1-2 week old seedlings which are 5x the size of mines. guess it's not the case for me.. would increasing humidity help? i'll wait it out and see. thanks.

would it be a bad idea to put some mylar or reflective material around the net pots to cover the grow rocks? my seedlings are 1 week old so a lot of light is just hitting the floor and being wasted. would doing this improve plant growth or it is bad to add reflecting light from bottom up?

my sink water is 6.0 ph which isn't bad and drops to about 5.5 once it sits for a couple days .. i was considering ro water just figured my tap water is decent

it's not enough, unless you just want to harvest a few joints worth of weed.. and i assume that is not 100 actual watts, but 25-27 watts.. i'd get at least few more bulbs. at least 8 cfls to get anything worth while..

which makes sense, but i'm wondering how bottled water we buy lasts 6 months or longer... do they add something to the water?

im not sure if this is a stupid question but i have like five 5 gal water jugs that i fill with tap water then let it sit 3 days before i cap the bottles. then i'll use it in the hydro system about 2 weeks later how long will the water be good for? ie does it spoil?

i have a 27watt 6500k cfl on each of the 4 seedlings i have (they're about a week old), the light is about 3-4 inches from them. is that too much light or is that fine? about how big should the plant be before i turn on the 250w MH light? ty

i have 2" cube rockwool, there is what seems like plastic around the rockwool. should i remove this before putting the cube into the net pot with grow rocks? i figured if i remove the plastic/paper around the cubes the roots will breath better. does it matter?

thanks everyone for the help. currently i have just 1 27watt daylight cfl about 3-4 inches from seedlings. after a week i will increase cfls, then 2 week 16 cfls and 250watt MH, then HPS and soft cfls for flower. i have 4 seedlings, i'll be happy if at least 2 make it, first grow.

how long should i leave lights on the seedlings before switching to 18/6 veg, or is it fine to do 18/6 on seedlings?
