do you mean the base of the lamp or the base of the bulb? if you get the right ones you should be able to plug them into a lamp that would have an incandecent light. here...go to this page and scroll down untill you see someone holding a incandescent bulb and a cfl...theyre the same...

actually...most of my trimming were chopped in nice little like 2 inch or less pieces...the huge fan leaves i just cut in half...and the stems i just broke in half. i think also if its ground up to much you get a lot of cloryphill(spelling?)in with it too.

ya i noticed with cfl's...you have to find the sweet spot for your plants...it usually depends on the plant...indica,sativa,phenotype....the sweet spot should between like 1-3 inches naa...you can top whever you want...when are planning on flowering? if you top now you wanna give it enough time...

yes they will work i have 2 of them on an outlet and you can run more than that but only if your circuit is not being used...if its in your room with your computer, xbox, tv, clock....whatever than you have to worry about how many amps your using...you dont wanna go past 12-13 for a 15 amp...
