I grew mine under t5's and they did pretty well, albeit slowly as others have said. I grew most to about 8-10" and it took around 2 months, but that included some topping. I did not flower them, only veg long enough to go outside.

Just a thought if you are really scared. Bag and seal like described above, put in trunk, call tow truck. Ride home. Tow trucks rarely get pulled over, especially if you call on the same one the local police use.
