Whoops . If you wanna get your hands dirt you could look into the pump motor yourself. If it’s heat you’ll be able to see where it’s coming from visually. It’s prob from friction maybe the love joy or what ever they used for connection in the motor isn’t close enough and the teeth are slipping?.

I just saw he was trying to get rid of air pumps due to noise and I had the same prob so I figured I’d let him know how I did it. I’m not sure if he still needs info I just figured I’d try to help cause it’s the only thing that worked for me

Just get soil that you can grow roses in but make sure their is no notice grow and pesticides, other than that make sure your soil drains well perlite helps
