Hey. I ordered two platinum leds and was able to cancel the shippment after I read some bad things about them on this forum. Thinking about ordering 2 area 51 R150 lights now. I hear area 51 is coming out with new lights soon...think now is a bad time to buy from them?

Ok, so obviously these other brands like KIND and Platinum aren´t as efficient as area 51s, but if you have enough watts in your tent wouldn´t the plants do just as well?

And what really makes the area 51s lights better? I just watched a video by Kind LED it seems that par, spectrum amd lumens are all good...

Ok. I was ony able to cancel one. The one I cancelled would have apparently been one of the "new" ones...Apparaently now it´s 12 band instead of eleven... I´m thiking I´ll just keep the other one, shipping it back plus the 15% restock fee would mean I would only get less than 250bucks back which...

Ok...So I was able to cancel one of the platinums before it even shipped and I might even be able to cancel the second one...So now I need to figure out what I am going to buy. My box is 4x4 and since I dont think I can afford to buy enough high quality LEDs to light up the whole box I am going...

So I should flower them 18inches away?? Seems like a lot

What company would you suggest to do better on with the epi diodes?

Yeah....the statement on the website is a little misleading

Sent an E-mail to plat LED about the diodes..got this response: " Hi Steve.. We use a combination of Bridgelux and Epistar diodes. However, the difference is not only in the brand of diodes but in the quality/bin that we use. We only use top bin diodes in each brand which helps lend itself...

I obviously meant if the light should be closer than 18inches from the top of the plants after the they get used to it. No need to be a wiseass.

Dude...I´m not trying to persuade anyone....I spent a chunk of dough on these lights so I´m interested in finding out if they are good or not.. You seem to be sure they are not so I´ve been trying to figure out why. You would make a better case if you could produce some data that speaks against...

Pretty paranoid arent you? I acually did just purchase two p300s so I´m interrested....Obviously the p300s arent going to have the newest tech...they are only 360dollars but I don´t see why they shouldn´t be decent...I mean from everything ive read the Advanced LED, Calfornia Light works and...

What are you guys basing the your statements on?

I live overseas so sending them back would be pretty expensive...they list the spectrum at 380nm/415nm/440nm/460nm/480nm/615nm/630nm/660nm/720nm/740nm/760nm and say say the diodes are from bridgelux...

one 400w hps over 2 p300s? Why do you know that they aren´t effiicient....I want the best for my plants but for now since I already bought them I´m going to have to make the best of it

Do you mean my that I´ll just end up paying more for electricity? I´m thinking with 2 p300s and a 400 hps or mh the plants should do pretty well in a 4x4 area...
