all you will need is a good carbon filter and a box that has no leaks so smell cannot get out unless through your carbon filter. If there is still smell after hooking up a good carbon filter than it is either you have vent leaks or your carbon filter is not hooked up properly / it is not big...

Ok so with a 6" vortex 449CFM fan can you still build a DIY carbon filter? How do you determine how big your carbon filter has to be to work on that big of a fan? I really do not want to buy a carbon filter because they are so over priced.

you did it right. that is what LST is. Just tie down whatever you want. More bushier less height. Plus if you have a branch growing much taller than the others you can just tie it down too. Good job btw.
