    Jacks (JR Peters) nutrients

on the subject of "some live, many won't" the fascinating thing is that the indigenous effective species for hydroponics will likely be different for each area of the country/world. i don't think i would do full hydro without plenty of water turbidity, i messed around a bit with DWC, but i...

that doesn't matter, you just calculate each one individually based off of the % of mass.

that's why knowing the molar equivalency and relation to ppm is so important @Growdict you could just weigh sodium chloride and figure it out on your own.

    Jacks (JR Peters) nutrients

that doesn't matter, i have grown plenty of species of fungi and bacteria in only water. it's called liquid culture in mushroom cultivation or liquid nutrient broth in microbiology. now, your beneficials might not be growing in your hydro reservoir because the conditions don't support their...

    Jacks (JR Peters) nutrients

ppm was the scale used by the agri program at the college here. it's easier to measure moles and convert to ppm, so you can do real soil chemistry using that measurement. cannabis growing is incredibly simple compared to some other crops.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

that is too much light, the plants will have a negative response. to put it bluntly- i told you how much wattage to use, if you don't listen the failure is on you.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

that's definitely overkill. your space is less than 6.5 sq ft so you need 160-220w, depending on how hard you want to drive your LEDs. two quantum boards would be plenty. spend extra money on beans, quality buds come from quality genetics, assuming your environment is proper.

    Jacks (JR Peters) nutrients

i would start with 3 grams per gallon, it seems to work across two well tested jack's varieties and IME pH comes out perfectly using diluted tap water. don't forget rain water! you can always collect a bit, boil it, and store in 5g buckets

Elite Seeds ... are they still operating?

you can try gibberellic acid to help with seed germination. we played around with it in college biology classes and it caused every single seed to sprout, regardless of how optimal the conditions were. i used to run guano's lemon larry, it was fire!

Mountaineer Mike's Grow Tent and Journal

hey Mike, nice to see another person here from the mountain state. ever hear of btk kush? it's one that was bred in WV that's true elite status. looks like you're off to a decent start, but the plants seem a little heavy on nitrogen. that huge leaf is definitely present on any afghani i've grown.
