I was wondering the same thing John after I read somewhere that you don't count carbs in your ppm. Perhaps the idea is you only count what the plant feeds on. Nitrogen, calcium, yes, molasses, ph up, no. Hopefully someone who's not a noob like me knows for sure.

No alfalfa, 24 hours later, seems about right. What is it about alfalfa that makes it explode so fast? I agree it seems too quick to increase the bacteria and fungi population. Wood, my next batch will be with alfalfa and vegetable oil. We will see what happens.
