How deep did you put the seeds? I think you over watered.

    seed germination

Idk man, I've heard alot of vets on here say that too long in a cup and they'll drown. Could be wrong but why risk it

    seed germination

Let the seeds sit in a cup of water at room temperature for under 24 hours (I hear 24 hours can drown them), the seeds should sink, after that, use the paper towel method, damp paper towels in a dark warm place.

    Time for transplant?

Thanks guys. I'm asking because last time I transplanted when a plant was this size from a 8 oz party cup, the soil didn't stay together too well like the roots weren't bound good enough. I guess waiting longer is the way to go.

    Time for transplant?

About a week and a half ago my sprout broke soil. It is about 3 1/2 inches long now, two real leaves grown in above the cotyldons (sp?) The plant is in an 8 oz. party cup. Would you say it's time to transplant? Thanks

    Question about rockwool

My ignorance was already clarified by this question. I have no idea about rockwool. I have no idea about most growing in general. I was asking more experienced growers. If my questions are bothering your tender sensibilities I suggest either A) removing your tampon or B) removing your tampon.

    Reusing Soil?

Sorry, I would only be guessing if I came up with a theory on why that occurs, all I know is I'm definitely going to take advantage of your findings. Soil recycling it is!

    Question about rockwool

It has just occured to me that when starting seedlings in rockwool, and it's time to transplant, you can just put the rockwool in the soil for the transplant. My question is, why would anybody start seeds in soil, when transplanting is so much easier when starting in rockwool? Am I missing...

Is Happy Frog soil any good?

Sorry to hijack trippy, but I've been using happy frog for my babies with no added perlite, as I plan on transplanting to FFOF with perlite. They look healthy as ever. Any problems with this?

This popped up 1 month ago

I actually think its kind of remarkable that in a months time a plant got to where it should be in 2 weeks. That must mean there must of been nothing popped up for at least 3 weeks and it was still alive. That's one tough seedling.

    possible hermie problem

Yeah, It is a desk like heater, very small. about 7 inches tall. Needs to be right up on the plants to produce any type of heat as the heat only travels about 6 inches from where the heater spews it.

    possible hermie problem

Nah they're not flowering. I am doing a 12/12 grow from seed though. Does the light during dark period only effect plants when they are in flowering?

    possible hermie problem

my plants are fairly young, only about 2 weeks old. If I make sure it stops now, do you think I'll be okay?

    possible hermie problem

Right now where I am it is below freezing, so the nights are cold. So when it's lights out, I have a small heater blowing on my girls to maintain the temp around 68 degrees. The problem is, when the power button is "on" on the heater, there is a little light glowing. (thus having a little light...
