To let most of the moisture evaporate. For me at least, it grates best if it is a maximum of 1/4" thick, and I've dried the patty for 12 hours or so on each side (flip halfway). I don't want it frozen, but I want it cold and fairly solid.

It's citrus-like in both taste and aroma. I don't really get Pineapple from it, but it's fruity. I got just a shade over 5.5 grams, plus about the same amount in the 25 micron bag that went into butter.

Is that a whitefly? edit: a thrip, never mind :)

I wonder if the reduced surface area of pressed (in relation to unpressed) slows oxidation? Mine never lasts long enough for much degradation either way :)

Next run I'll try using 160 as my trash and 70 as my catch and see how that goes. I can put the 45 in the butter as well. Thanks.

The smoke is average in terms of taste and aroma, but on the strong side at least. The plant, however, is a whiny little bitch, and has been eliminated from my rotation.

I've now harvested three of my four PEs. On pure bud size, there's one pheno that's a clear winner (my #5). I'll reserve final judgement on flavor/aroma until it has cured and I see what the THC% tests come back with.
