    Newb Coco Questions

Then I'd suggest eco pots for planters and just water them like you would soil with a saucer underneath. If you're limited on space I'd switch to LED lighting. Not much time to respond right now, will be able to give more feedback later most likely

    Help designing best grow room

Yea, 10 plants in a hydro setup for that space would be a bit much unless you plan on pruning and trellising properly and reaaally stay on your plants. I have to run home before I can give you the rest of my opinion XD but I'll try and respond as quickly as possible

Preparing for first hydro grow any advice?

My suggestions, if you're going organic for hydro don't use fox farm. Use iguana juice instead, if you don't mind growing non-organic then it depends on how into your grow you are. If you want something easy and simple go with a one part solution. I prefer House and Garden's 2 part aquaflakes...

Buying hydro nutes for first time help please botanicare users

I typically don't dick around with brands, if I run a line I run the full line. If you have the time for it test it out on a separate plant if there aren't any huge issues, then its probably safe.

    Help designing best grow room

Yup, that makes a lot more sense, like I said, I can't really see the numbers for the dimensions. I just read water heater. Give me a minute to do some simple math. Do you want multiple tents? You said you want rooms for veg flower and mother, are those going to be separate areas in the closet...

How many leds to compare to 2 x 600watt hps?

Quick rundown on LED vs HID. First to answer your question 300w LED is typically compared to 800-1000w HID (depending on where you look). So, 2 200w's would be ideal if you want to be certain you have equal light output and proper coverage. Keeping that in mind, lets look at price. 300w LED...

    Switching bulbs

If you already have LEDs to supplement then I'd switch all of them. The LED will take care of the cooler side of the spectrum and you'll have more of the necessary light for flowering

    lighting solutions advice

Give some dimensions, what area are you working with? If its too small you might not want to go mh/hps as the cost to cool and ventilate will be huge. If you have a smaller area, I'd suggest LED lights, little to no cooling required and they end up being the same price as HID. With an HID setup...

I'm assuming you're doing this in a basement? Correct me if I'm wrong. Could you take a clearer picture of the room dimensions? Its difficult for me to read them.

    Switching bulbs

It won't hurt to have more of the light spectrum available to your plants. Ideally you should switch them all and have some supplemental lighting maybe some LEDs to cover the whole spectrum but not take away from the light your plants really need.

    Good grow store near Boston?

I prefer buying from a store itself versus ebay or amazon. You can still order online from most stores getting rid of the sales tax. You can also talk to the employees about products and methods. I've been back to GYOstuff a few times now and every time I head over there I learn something new...

Just moved into Boston, looking for a good grow store

So I went to check out liquid sun, not much of a selection and they really wanted me to buy Canna nutrients even though I explained I was looking for more lighting. Weird. The GYO store had waaaaay more stuff in it and the guys working there were pretty chill. I talked to them about lights...
