Yeah for sure :D. hes been doing that for 25+ years or so. back in the day he had huge grow ops, one of the biggest in BC at the time. Unfortunately I've never gotten advice on how to grow since hes stopped smoking thats why im here haha :P

Some are about 3 inches, and you are right about the light, im using a 40w floodlight but im getting cfls or better ASAP. Btw the soil has little green pellets in it that seem to turn some of the soil green, would that be too much for the seedlings?

tis my first grow and I dont think i put enough soil. Im just talking about adding a spoonfull or two just to help support the long stems a bit

Some of my 5 day old seedlings need more soil added to the container. ironically my dad owns a small garden center and I was wondering if I can use some soil that I took from the gardening plants themselves(pretty much potting soil) and add that to the seedlings.

Yeah the seedlings are out of the ground an inch or so. I really appreciate all the help tho, these forums have been awesomely informative

Hello I am on the forth day of my seedlings and was wondering to have them under either a 100watt incadescent light bulb or a 40 watt incandescent flood light. I know both types I just mentioned aren't going to work very well, but I was wondering which would be the best choice out of the two...

Ok I appreciate the advice. Also, I am only growing 8 seedlings or so, would cfls be ok for the first three weeks or so? I do have a 360 watt halogen that im thinking about using .

For now I'm using a 100 watt incadescent until I get some cfls. Its about 2 feet over the plants. But I might try moving it closer

Yeah they are about 1.5 inches tall, my problem is a couple are bent(almost 90 degree angle) right where the soil is. Also some are slightly angled. thanks in advance

A couple of my new 3 day old seedlings are damping off, any reason why? They are under a 100 watt incadescent for now. and im trying not to over or under water

So I have 2-3 day old seedlings and its a beautiful clear day today would the seedlings be okay on a window sill? Btw its around 15 degrees celcius

So I just started my first seedlings a day ago or so, and the ones who shed they're seed helmet have a brown tip where the first leaves are about to start, does that mean anything or am I being too paranoid

newb question: One of my new seedlings just shed its shell and the top part of the root is purple/light brown, does that mean anything?
