Hello, Working on my very first grow (Nirvana’s northern lights) in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil in 3 gallon buckets. I’ve just been using plain water so far and things are going well but when I switch them to flower (probably at the 6 week mark) I want to start feeding them. From what I’ve...

    Industrial Use Metal Halides

Ok, I'm thinking that maybe this is the right combination: Copper-green black-black white to yellow If green is ground then that connects to bare copper wire. The black is apparently hot so it would make sense that there are different black wires for the different input voltages. That just...

Ok, here are some photos of it. That is the old cord still attached. As you can see I took off the old black 277 wire but hopefully you can get a good idea of the light from the photos. The black wires are the multi-tap ones in different voltages. Also pictured is the new cord.

    Industrial Use Metal Halides

Thanks for the quick responses weedworm. The copper wire is bare and just attaches to the inside of the ballast, obviously thats the ground. The yellow wire has some words on it but i'll have to go and check it again to try and read them. The black wires are the multi-tap wires in a row of 4...

    Industrial Use Metal Halides

Ok, I went to the store and after having some problems finding seperate heavy duty plugs for the 12 gauge electrical wire and not wanting to pay more for actual extension cords I found something that might work. I picked up some 14 gauge electrical cords made to be used as replacement power...

    Industrial Use Metal Halides

Cool! Thanks guys. I just talked to the guy who is selling them and he said that it states on the fixtures that they can be rewired for 120! Guess that means I'm in luck. I'll probably pick up 3 of them, even if I only need one it'd probably be cheaper just for the light bulbs on the other 2...

Hmm, I knew it couldn't be as just simple as plugging it in :wall: Can you please explain to me what multi-tap means? I guess the next step is to try and figure out a way to modify it.
