Correct me if im wrong, but I don't believe those are pistils. If they are you have a hermie, throw it out before any others are pollinated.

You have a male, the "pistils" you are referring to are the stipules'.

Top early in veg as connorbrown suggested. Veg another week or so for recovery then LST (tie down) all the branches to the outer rim of the pot. Throw into flower and you could pull off a nice harvest, given your space.

A light mist wouldn't hurt, but yes for the most part treat them as you would if nothing happened, try not to disturb them during this crucial recovery. Hold off on the nutes for a lil while till they show signs of progress and thx for the rep. :)

Don't snip ANYTHING off, the plant will shed these leaves when its ready. It should be just fine as long as the new growth is alright, i've seen crazier things bounce back. Good Luck!
