Plant Size to Pot Height - Width Chart

Hmmmm...i've never really put it on paper quite so rigidly as to chart it. I go more by root development than height/width anyway. What types of strains are you running? What type of pot? Planting medium? These are all relative to whether or not you are in the right size pot. Most of...

    Cloneing question

Cloning doesn't have to be hard, nor complicated. If you just take a cutting and drop it in water you will get roots eventually. My method is to take choice cuttings from the bottom portion of the plant (where there is a larger concentration of rooting hormone naturally present). Smaller...

This is especially the case with coco growers using R/O.

What did you Get Done in the Grow Room Today?

A little pruning and bending in the flower room to keep plants from touching. Getting pretty full in there. :-) PM is going to be an issue this round it looks like, so it's time to do the sulphur burner thing. Until then, it's hydrogen peroxide foliar spray for temporary control.

    What works for you??

    T5 @ 24/0 for clones. 1Kw MH @ 18/6 for veg. 2Kw Dual Arc (1200w HPS / 800w MH) @ 12/12 for flower.

    Coco Growers Unite!

Sounds like this could very well be the case. If you DO go R/O, please keep us updated. I, for one, would be interested to see how it works out for you and we can all learn from the input. Best of luck!

Does anybody water with the lights off?

I do just the opposite: watering as soon as possible after lights on - and with calculated amounts - so that any runoff is sufficiently burned up before lights off. Dark and wet isn't the best scenario. Personally, i prefer to have no business to do in the garden during lights off.

    Howdy, folks.

Thanks. :-) Although i do love the PNW, i admitedly fantasize about buying a piece of property in a warmer climate to run a good ole outdoor op. It'd be fun to have no height restrictions and let them sativas have their way.

    Coco Growers Unite!

First off, i don't think the 'twisting and curling' you're describing has anything to do with the pH. It's more likely the EC (salt build-up) that they're reacting this way to. 6.3 is not that bad for runoff in coco. You don't need to flush with acidic water (5.0pH), just 1/4 strength nutes...

    Coco Growers Unite!

In my experience it's pretty typical for the pH to be a bit more alkaline in the runoff. I water at 5.8-5.9 and typical runoff is 6.1-6.3. I believe it's a cation exchange issue and is totally normal. Unless that plants look like they're having pH issues, there's no need to worry about the pH...

    Aggressive "Defoliation" Pruning Technique Test

Where people are unwilling to experiment the controversy will continue ever on. I use some defoliation techniques for a couple reasons in my own small indoor op: 1. To help control the rapidity of growth in veg (by slowing the photosynthetic process). 2. To place a controlled amount of...

How can I qrow a Small bushy Plant ?

Picking an indica dominant strain will help in this purpose as well as the LST techniques mentioned above. Flipping to flower sooner (providing less veg time) will also help in terms of plant size if you're dealing with a smaller space.

    Coco Growers Unite!

Once i got the watering volume per pot dialed in i simply don't water to much runoff. I am running 100% coco in 3 gallon smart pots. Right now the 12 flowering girls are on week 4 and drinking about 3 cups/ea. This leaves just enough water in the saucers that - so long as they are watered...
