    General Mother hunting strategy

Awesome! Yeah I've definitely shared that article a bunch of times. It just makes sense for home growers and isn't that much more work than keeping larger moms (actually possibly less...)

Only one way to find out ;)

Adding humidity from outside tent using active intake and humidifier in a storage tote w/passive intake

You could also try decreasing your air exchange by eliminating the active intake and/or decreasing the exhaust fan speed. Or exhausting back into the lung room instead of outside. Both of those things would help conserve some of the water the plants are transpiring instead of sending it outside...

I need to repot my plant. Can I bury the stem and if so, how high up?

You might wanna bury it on its side in a trench rather than vertically. That way the root ball isn't all at the very bottom of the pot

Converting Super Soil to Living Soil

I feel like the line between super soil and living soil is kinda blurry. Practically all organic soil (or soilless mixes as most people do indoors) has life in it, but some mixes are just microbes and some have more visible forms of life like worms, soil mites, insects, cover crops, etc. Just...

Sadly this is not it... (humidifier by SF)

I think you get it, but yeah the slower/less often you can run the exhaust, the more that humidity is going to stick around inside the tent. In general, if you have a tent-in-a-room situation, it's probably better to put the humidifier/dehumidifier in the room rather than in the tent. It'll...

    Living soil recycle compost

After 6 rounds of only adding worm castings and amendments, my soil would be basically mud. You might want to add some perlite and/or peat and/or coco to lighten it up at this point...

    Aaargh! First battle with bugs

Dang, don't take this the wrong way but I've seen your grows in the past and was surprised to see you as the OP when I clicked on this thread. Hey at least you know what to look for now, next time you'll notice it sooner. Sounds like you've got a treatment plan going already, I'd also add that...

    Alaska Fish Emulsion

I use a mix of Alaska fish fertilizer and "easy weed" soluble kelp on pretty much everything - indoor moms/vegging plants, houseplants, and outside vegetable garden. Works great and is fast-acting for being organic. Indoors if you have a carbon filter the smell is a non-issue. Otherwise it only...

    Getting impatient ready or not

I'd be comfortable chopping now. They've got that popped popcorn look which is the main thing I look for. Plus it looks like there are some dead leaves in the big tops, so I'd at least want to chop those to avoid mold Great job!!

    Grow your own weed Thread

What I've got going now, clones of some plants I recently flowered and may grow again later this year. Ace's Panama in the middle (age ~1.5 months) and Ethiopian sativa on the left and right (age ~7 months)

Would a 2 by 2 by 3 be sufficient for a single mother plant?

Yeah 3 feet seems weirdly short, but plenty of headroom for a small mother plant. Watch the light though, if you're using a "real" grow light you might need to keep it hung right at the top of the tent and/or dimmed significantly. Good luck!

Would a 2 by 2 by 3 be sufficient for a single mother plant?

https://overgrow.com/t/bonsai-mums-by-oldtimer1/1433 I've been keeping bonsai moms on a little metal shelf under an LED shop light, more or less following this guide. 4-inch pots of organic soil, fertilize with liquid fish and kelp every couple weeks. Once they stretch up enough to hit the...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Growbox grow still going. Erdpurts have been harvested, Panama is at about 9 weeks since flip: Got a couple peppers going, too - a shishito that I planted in place of the Erdpurts, and a random mystery one that popped up in the corner next to the Panama. I grew some pepper plants in this soil...

    What could be causing this?

This^^^^ I too used solo cups when I started growing, but find seedling cells and 3-4" square plastic pots much easier and less fiddly. They require no modification and there's no question that the drain holes are an appropriate size...

    What could be causing this?

First make sure those cups have drain holes and that they're getting the right amount of water - for the stage yours are at I'll usually give them a good soak to fully saturate the soil, then wait until they're dry/light weight to water again. I agree with above they do look hungry. If you're...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Sure why not? If your plants are looking good and it's that widespread I'd figure it's got to be beneficial, or at least not harmful.
