Thanks for the input. Gonna get the upgrade. My thinking is that I've let them veg taller than I should have for the 250 watt penetration, and a 400 watter alone would give me around 8.8k lumens per square foot, while the 250 and CFLs gave me around 6.5 k per sq foot.

about 17 inch plants, should I use a 250 watt HPS with 2 105 CFLs or should I upgrade to a 400 watt hps when I flower? just these two plants in a 30 x 30 inch place.

My plants are at about 14 inches: I would want to veg them longer, maybe a month. But I've got a 250 watt HPS and 2 105 CFLs for my flower, and I was concerned that I won't get enough penetration if I let them get any taller. Any thoughts?

if all 3 of those wattages are about equal in price, and my space: 30x 30 inches, 5.5 ft high (I got 250 MH in the middle, 2 65 cfls on each side right now). when I change bulbs to flower, should I get a 65, 86 or 105?

I have about 5.5 feet total height, my pot is about a foot, so essentially 4.5 feet for my plants. My width is about 30 x 30 inches. My plants are currently 8 inches high and 8 inches wide. I was thinking that if it continues to grow as it does, my width will be a problem before my height...

43-day-old Northern light plants... My space is about 30 x 30 inches, the plants are about 8 inches at its widest (about 8 inches high), so the plants are covering about 1/2 of the possible canopy... Do you think I should start flowering?

first picture 25 days old, showing some yellow on bottom leaves. I went and bought some fertilizer, fox farm 3-pack. mixed 1.5 tsp/gallon of grow big (6-4-4), took that and watered and foliar fed it. 5 days later, 30 days old: did something wrong, the leaves turned more yellow, and...

Last two are of the same plant. I don't know if those are pistils or just new-forming leaves. Thanks.

First grow here. Using Northern Lights. Got the seeds from Attitude seedbanks, germinated three, but only 2 came up (the one that didn't get up was a "UFO" or extra). Started October 1. - 250 metal halide light plus 2 55 (I think) CFLs - pics from 5 days, 11 days, 21 days they're short... but...

First time grower... I just bought some seeds. It says on the website that flowering time is 8 weeks... what does that mean? germination to harvest or start of flowering to harvest? Thanks
